About the event
Computational Design is changing various fields, including industrial design, product design and architecture by providing designers with the ability to generate and test multiple design options based on a wide range of criteria. Thus, it supports informed decisions based on data-driven insights of the design solutions. Can it then be applied to the AEC sector to support the applications of design strategies and principles?
We proudly welcome Sacha Uzan and Mariana Popescu to bring us insights from practice and academia.
>> Sacha Uzan from Bollinger+Grohmann will talk about the implementation of computational design supported by matching algorithms for reusing material elements in new constructions. You can have a sneak peek of the reused wooden pavilion B+G built.
>> Mariana Popescu from TU Delft will share her research on computational design workflows as enablers of digitally fabricated material-optimized structures. Check out Mariana’s webpage to get to know more about her research.
